About The Sound Report
The Sound Report is a newsletter that combines the best parts of my location sound reports along with observations, creative inquiries, the occasional photo, perhaps a few interviews, and links of great personal interest.
It’s written by me, Avi Zev Weider.
Who Should Read This?
If you work in film/tv/streaming content production, you will want to read this. If you don’t but have always wondered about the glamorous life of filmmaking, you will want to read this. If you like reading restaurant reviews, you will want to read this. If you like travel writing, you will want to read this. If you are interested in memory and technology, you will want to read this. If you like to laugh at the absurdity of life, you will want to read this.
Who Are You and What Are You Doing?
I’m Avi Zev Weider. I’ve made a few films, written some scripts, produced commercials, coded databases, done a million odd jobs, and have spent over a decade recording dialogue for film and television.
I’m currently editing a documentary with my wife, Alexandra Berger, launching a podcast, working as a production and post-production sound mixer, and writing narration for a soon-to-be-released documentary series.
